Duties:


  • You will analyze purchase requests for adequate purchase descriptions, proper authorizations, proper funding, and other special approvals to ensure compliance with current procurement regulations and policies.
  • You will provide written data/documentation with explanations for rejection and the corrective action required of customer when requirements are lacking.
  • You will determine the method of solicitation and establish reasonable quote times based on type of requirement, urgency of need and knowledge of commodity.
  • You will analyze proposals for conformance with the specifications and terms and conditions of the solicitation and compliance.
  • You will prepare an accurate and complete contract document and contract file, ensure that the appropriate clauses and special provisions are incorporated.
  • You will perform postaward contract administration including contract closeouts and contract modifications.

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
    GS07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Review and screen Purchase and Material requests for accuracy of funds, item descriptions, and determine if requests meet current supply and service procurement policies and regulations; 2) Determine sources of supply by performing extensive searches of mandatory resources; 3) Determine best sources of procurement to meet customer requirements based on type of requirement, urgency, and knowledge of item or service; 4) Tracks and maintains up-to-date status of requisitions and purchases; and 5) Documents all purchases in accordance with current regulations and instructions; reconciles and validates monthly credit card statements with completed purchases.

COVID VACCINATION INFORMATION:

To comply with the recent preliminary nationwide injunction on Executive Order 14043, Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees, the Department of the Navy is not taking any action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement.

Work is primarily sedentary. However, some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items that weigh less than 20 pounds will be required. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
