The
Community/Property Coordinator will assist the Property Manager to market, manage, and organize the affordable housing community assigned to assure that the communities are maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.


What you'll do

  • Maintains the Community & maximizes financial returns
  • Executes daytoday decisions to efficiently run the Community and respond to resident needs
  • Deescalates situations and makes timely decisions in order to achieve "First Time Resolution" for residents and Community
  • Manages and maintains lead management database for the Community, submitting system reports as requested.
  • Leases Apartments & pursues potential admission to establish and meet 100% occupancy
  • Develops and implements systems and guidelines to ensure consistent and successful practices in occupancy/operation
  • Builds and maintains relationships with prospective and current residents, vendors, suppliers, & community partners
  • Participates in surveys (inspections) by authorized government agencies
  • Facilitates a resident advisory council
  • Educates residents, team members, and others on safety & security policies and procedures
  • Maintains records of expenditures and assures financial records and cost reports are submitted to HUD and others as directed
  • Handles emergency situations
  • Attends events, including educational seminars and Fair Housing Compliance meetings

What it takes

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management or related field. Will consider a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Prior Affordable Housing or property manager experience preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in Marketing and Sales of residential living, specifically with affordable housing is preferred
