THE POSITION:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our buildings and structures by performing tasks in carpentry, plumbing, heating and cooling, painting, masonry, and electrical work.

You will perform this semi-skilled and skilled work exercising technical independence in determining work methods and procedures.

Additionally, you will ensure the safety of the outdoor grounds by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, as well as maintaining the grass by utilizing lawn care equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.
  • This position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1;
    or:
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;
    or:
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement:


  • You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:


  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
