The Engineering Manager, Rotating Machinery Project leads a diverse group of Project Engineering associates responsible for engineering activities associated with the design, development, qualification and production support of Rotating Machinery Components in Power & Controls.


Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

May be eligible for relocation.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Engineering activities associated with design, development, qualification, and production support for the Windsor Locks based Rotative Machinery Product Line.
  • Provide technical and functional leadership while completing day to day activities
  • Oversee and provide leadership across multiple business units
  • Responsible for developing and implementing best practices and procedures (Standard Work)
  • Ensure all designs comply with Standard Work and customer requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement within the organization
  • Assessment of resource needs within the organization
  • Present to Engineering and Program Management as well as Customer representatives
  • Coordinate with customers (Internal and External) and suppliers
  • Lead/guide Root Cause and Correct Action (RCCA) activities
  • Manage competing tasks while still delivering on expectations
  • Ensure the professional growth of team members by developing individual plans
  • Ensure engineering and technology excellence, lead technology strategy

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:


  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience
    or **an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
    or **in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience supervising and/or Leading Engineers.
  • Experience leading/guiding Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
  • Experience working with customers (Internal and External) and suppliers.
  • Mechanical, handson experience.
  • Project Management experience.
