The district town of Mettmann is looking for a

Head of Financial Management (m/f/d)
for the Department of Finance, Fire Protection, and Rescue Services on a full-time basis.

The position is classified in pay group 12 TVöD or salary group A 13 LBesG NRW and is to be filled as soon as possible on a permanent basis.

Your tasks will include:

You will lead the Department of Financial Management with seven employees and make independent decisions on necessary professional, personnel, and organizational matters.

You will also pay attention to occupational health and safety.

You will organize all matters related to the budget management of the city of Mettmann; in particular, you will prepare the budget plan, ensure the ongoing management of budget funds, and prepare the annual financial statements.

You will ensure the achievement of the city's financial goals through the expansion of financial controlling. To do this, you will use modern business intelligence (BI) supported presentation formats. You will be responsible for conducting inventories.

You will manage the economic development of the city's investments and properties in the interest of the city of Mettmann.
