***- This position performs a wide range of duties in support of various Human Resources services and programs. This position is also responsible for efficiently maintaining the electronic employee human resources file by entering new employee information as well as updates into the employee database (Scan). This position will maintain the security and integrity of the employee's name badge system, maintain compliance with regulatory and employee specific requirements (i.e., licensures, I-9, etc.) This position will assist with special projects as needed.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to follow directions and complete assigned responsibilities on time. Follows through on assignments to successful completion.
  • Accountable for maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ensures that new and existing employee files are compiled and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a backup to enter new hire information into employee database in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
  • Is courteous and attentive to patients, physicians, visitors, employees and any other individuals with whom they may come in contact.
  • Maintains and projects Methodist Hospital and the Human Resources Department's professional reputation.
  • Receives visitors and telephone calls courteously and promptly with special attention to ensure good customer service.
  • Responsible for making name badges for employees, medical staff and volunteers.
  • Maintaining badge database and updating the HRIS/timeclock database when appropriate.
  • Responsible for all report generation pertaining to the badge system. Maintaining badge supplies to ensure sufficient stock by reordering timely.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the electronic filing system and for reporting concerns as needed to appropriate personnel.
  • Supports department personnel as needed to perform miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for notifying managers of introductory evaluations, licensure and certifications prior to expiration date.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Minimum (required)

  • High School diploma or equivalent
    Preferred (Not required)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    Work Experience

Minimum (required)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
    Preferred (Not required)
  • 1year human resources experience in healthcare preferred
    Licenses and Certifications

Minimum (required)

  • Obtain/Posses current Management of Assaultive Behavior Certification; can obtain within 6 months of hire
    Preferred (Not required)

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (SKA's)

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and customer service skills.
  • Strong and proven typing and data entry skills with focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Well organized with special attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to assist and support in daily departmental duties including heavy phones and walkins.
