POLISHING SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY:
Supervise polishing employees.
Ensure that all parts are polished to meet quality requirements and completed on time. Use machines in a safe manner. Use safety gear. Order products for polishing dept. Manage external polishers.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and train all polishing employees on bead blaster, diffuser and buffing machines
- Assign jobs to Polishers by Level of skill, as well as manage external polishers
- Review the production log to ensure that all parts are polished in a timely manner to meet the requested ship dates
- Check and see that all parts are polished to meet quality requirements to meet FPY through plating processes
- Make sure all employees have proper safety gear on and all machines have safety gear on the machines
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the production team to prioritize the parts needed
- Order polishing, cleaning, and packaging material for polishing depts and external polishers
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of four years of supervisory experience in the Polishing field
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
