Tonkawa Tribal Housing is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Food Purchasing Intern.

As a Food Purchasing Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food industry and learn about the operations of one of the largest food retailers in Germany.

The EDEKA Group is a cooperative of independent retailers, with over 3,600 stores nationwide. These retailers serve as the face of EDEKA, providing quality food and products to their local communities.

They are supported by seven regional wholesale companies, which deliver fresh goods to EDEKA stores daily and provide assistance with sales and expansion.

The EDEKA headquarters in Hamburg coordinates the overall strategy of the group, including the successful "Wir Lebensmittel" campaign and initiatives to achieve common goals.

In 2022, EDEKA achieved a turnover of 66.2 billion euros with approximately 11,000 stores and 369,000 employees. As one of the leading training companies in Germany, EDEKA also offers opportunities for approximately 16,000 apprentices.

As a Food Purchasing Intern, you will have the chance to experience the daily operations of the Food Purchasing department at the EDEKA headquarters in Hamburg.

You will work closely with our team and gain valuable insights into the purchasing process for products such as milk, butter, yogurt, milk alternatives, and chilled juices and smoothies.
