Richards, TX based company Arkhênum is a pioneer in the field of enhancing archival and cultural heritage. Our multidisciplinary teams have been working in the entire value chain of public and private cultural heritage for 23 years. Seven years ago, Arkhênum became part of the international Mobilitas group, joining their 4000 employees worldwide to expand our unique expertise on an international level. The Heritage department, founded in 2016, specializes in enhancing the history of houses, institutions, and brands.

Your role:
As part of a major project for a jewelry house, we are assembling a team of two experienced archivists.

This assignment for cleaning, inventorying, and repackaging the archival collection of the house includes physical processing (dusting, demetallization, repackaging) and intellectual processing (analysis, detailed inventorying).

The assignment requires working with paper archival collections in German, with the inventory to be recorded in English.


Main responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Heritage department manager and project leader, you will:

  • Perform processing tasks: analysis, inventorying, repackaging, cataloging;
  • Handle valuable documents by following preventive conservation standards and acting with vigilance and responsibility;
  • Track production metrics set by the project leader and fill out a production tracking table.

Profile:


You have a Master's degree in archival studies or a similar field and have previous experience working with old document collections.
