Scope of Role:
The role of Comptroller will involve:
- Actively work with the Accounting team (Senior/Staff Accountants, Cash Manager, and Accounts Payable), including, but not limited to, general ledger, financial reporting, registrations/taxes (including 1099 prep and distribution), and accounts payable.
- Supporting any backup for cash and treasury functions.
- Assisting with yearend financial audit activities, preparing PBC schedules, reviewing staff submissions, and the annual corporate financial audit.
- Integrating new acquisitions into Multiview includes assisting with preacquisition data entry for comparative purposes.
- Managing a range of journal entries that will need to be managed, including debt, payroll, credit card accruals, all AP accruals, revenue including deferrals, amortization, earnout, banking, and working capital trueups.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness, including timely delivery and participation in doctor/partner review meetings.
- As part of our continual improvement process for quality assurance, assessments of current practices and procedures will be undertaken, which includes making recommendations for improvements.
- The role will also involve a working knowledge of payroll and benefits, including 401K programs, to provide accounting expertise to Human Resources.
- Play a pivotal role in bringing together the components of our annual budgeting process, incorporating audits, checks, and validation processes
- The scope of the work includes close liaison and communication with the tax accountants to ensure the timely preparation of tax returns.
- Performed ad hoc analyses and projects as requested.
- Overseas and monitor the development of our Team through managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience with acquisitions is helpful but not required. Multisite healthcare is also preferred but not required.
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory experience a plus
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
- Knowledge of employee relationshipbuilding and performancemanagement techniques
