Principal R&D Engineer - Power Electronics / EV / Automotive
We are currently working with a leading research center in Germany that specializes in developing cutting-edge products in the field of digital power. They are seeking a Principal R&D Engineer with expertise in Power Electronics to join their team and support the development of their technology roadmap.
This is a full-time position based in Nuremberg, Germany.
Key Responsibilities for this Principal R&D Engineer role:
- Identifying and refining system requirements for digital power applications.
- Assisting in the development of technology roadmap for next-generation products, including EV powertrain, motor control, and battery chargers.
- Exploring and defining next-generation power module technology.
- Leading the development of innovative power conversion architectures and converter designs.
- Designing and building prototypes of power converters.
Key Requirements:
- Master's degree or PhD in Power Electronics with relevant industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of power electronic converter principles, magnetic component designs, and power semiconductor devices.
- Prior experience in product development and release.
- Hands-on experience in building power converter prototypes.
- Experience in analyzing, designing, simulating, and verifying power converter technologies.
