Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our IT Asset Management team in New York City.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and enjoys helping others while updating/maintaining IT asset inventory status in ServiceNOW.
DUTIES:
- Manage Hardware Inventory for Client Locations
- Manage IT Asset Management Technician requests for Client as required
- Fulfills requests for IT hardware, software and telecom wireless devices within parameters of team SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- Procures requested items and makes available/ships to requestors
- Manage hardware onboarding/offboarding queues
- Shipping and receiving of IT Assets to and from various customer locations
- Experience with creating/updating asset records on ITSM platforms such as ServiceNOW
- Attend Meetings as required
- Manage Lease Returns with leasing companies
- Responsible for administrative duties within the IT procurement and inventory management function, including escalation to client POCs on product procurement status and delivery timelines.
- Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software.
- Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.
- Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime.
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software products.
- Under general direction, prepares special or onetime reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other areas of the Company, etc.
- Ability to analyze data and build tables, pivots, charts and graphs as required within Microsoft Excel.
- Ensures that requests for action or information are relayed to appropriate staff members; ensures that information is furnished in a timely manner; decides whether a higher authority should be notified of important or emergency matters.
- Periodically evaluates process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures, and contributes to the safety of coworkers and the general public.
- Willing and able to follow instruction, assist in training of coworkers, and cooperate with other employees and customers.
- Performs responsibilities in a manner that clearly shows effective communication and cooperation and that promotes open exchange of information, respect, high ethical standards and professionalism.
- Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
SKILLS:
- Ability to interact with internal and external clients to receive information and data.
- Knowledge and/or experience in department practices and procedures.
- Ability to solve a range of basic problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills desired
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Positive attitude and an emphasis on customer service is a requirement
- Basic knowledge of the IT industry, computer HW/SW and Operating Systems a plus
EDUCATION:
At least 3 years of applicable experience
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel is a must.

Pay:
$ $28.00 per hour
