Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for automotive and commercial vehicles? Our client in West Wendover, NV is currently seeking an experienced Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d) to join their team.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and implement the procurement strategy and take budget responsibility for the corresponding product categories.

You will be responsible for supplier audits, market and supplier analyses, as well as international supplier and trade fair visits.

As the main point of contact for our suppliers, you will build and maintain close relationships while also contributing to internal and external activities for continuous improvement.


Requirements:

  • Commercial education and/or a degree in a business or technical field
  • Previous experience in strategic purchasing
  • Knowledge of automotive industry purchasing is advantageous
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work in a team
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3 is desirable
  • Willingness to travel (10% 20%) and intercultural competence
