The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Natural Sciences I, Institute of Pharmacy, is currently seeking a part-time (65%) Scientist (m/f/d) for a temporary position (3 years).
The salary will be based on the German civil service pay scale (TV-L) and will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience, up to salary group 13 TV-L.
Responsibilities:
- Identification and characterization of intrinsically disordered proteins using mass spectrometry
- Protein chemical crosslinking
- Mass spectrometric analysis of proteinprotein and proteinnucleic acid (DNA, RNA) interactions
- Computational data analysis
- Collaborating with an international team of scientists
- Conducting scientific research with a focus on intrinsic disordered proteins
- Completion of a PhD thesis
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/Master's degree in biochemistry, biology, pharmacy, biotechnology, or a related discipline
- Basic knowledge of molecular biological techniques (PCR, cloning) is desirable
- Basic knowledge of recombinant expression and purification of proteins is desirable
- Basic knowledge of mass spectrometry is desirable
- Fluent in English (both oral and written)
- Strong teamwork, time management, problemsolving, and organizational skills
