Responsibilities
Under general supervision schedules appointments for patients medical procedures tests and studies ordered by the physician.

  • Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Conduct patient precertification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
  • Schedule tests procedures and referral appointments.
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests
  • Collect insurance information and patient personal data.
  • May collect fees such as copays / coinsurance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
**_

Education and Licensure Required:
_**- High school diploma or equivalent required.

**_

Minimum Experience:
_**- 2 years related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

**_

Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
_**- Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Demonstrate positive professional customer service in all patient staff and visitor contacts.
  • A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

Pay Range
$ $20.38 /hour
