Position Overview:
Job Duties:
- Oversee the daytoday administration of the physical access control system, ensuring seamless operation and reliability.
- Implement and maintain rolebased access control policies to align with organizational security requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of access controls and identify areas for improvement. Demonstrate the courage to address and resolve complex access related challenges proactively.
- Develop and enforce rolebased administration policies for access control media, ensuring that access permissions align with job responsibilities and security protocols.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of user access privileges based on organizational changes and security needs. Leverage strong analytical skills to identify and analyze patterns and trends related to physical access data.
- Implement intelligent analytics solutions to enhance the security posture and preemptively identify potential security threats.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and refine analytics models for continuous improvement. Competent with Boolean based searches and report generation.
- Respond promptly to accessrelated incidents, investigating and documenting security breaches or policy violations.
- Collaborate with security and IT teams to develop and implement remediation plans in response to incidents. Maintain comprehensive documentation of access control configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on access control system performance, analytics findings, and security incidents.

Requirements:
Education: - High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience:
- Three (3) years experience in physical access control system administration with strong analytical skills for pattern recognition and trend analysis.
- Strong foundation for rolebased access control principles and practices.
- Familiar with physical security technologies and capabilities.
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to provide clear and concise explanations of security policies and procedures, fostering a culture of security awareness.-
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.-
- The ability to interact with staff at all levels.-
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities using personal computers and various software's, specifically Microsoft Office
Automatic Disqualification:
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for any Felony, and any Class A Misdemeanor
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for a Class B Misdemeanor, if within the previous 10 years
- Open arrest for any criminal offense (Felony or Misdemeanor)
- Family Violence conviction
Preferences:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or five years experience in a related field required
Certification:
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Physical Security Professional (PSP) are a plus
Experience:
- Five (5) plus years of experience working in a fast paced, high stress, security operation performing time critical tasks.
- Fundamental understanding of relational database administration would be a plus
General Information:
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
- Monday
- Friday | 40hrs-
- Regular Full-time | Onsite Position-
- May be required to work more than forty hours during the workweek and/or weekends or on-call 24 hours a day to meet special projects or deadlines
Location: - Downtown Houston
Physical Demands: - Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and/or move boxes and equipment as needed.
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, reaching, talking, hearing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, twisting, and reaching are needed to perform the essential functions
