The Institute of Applied Training Science (IAT) in Leipzig is the central research institute for elite and junior sports in Germany.

The focus of our work is on athlete-centered, sport-specific, and process-oriented training and competition research.

Each year, more than 2,000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes are supported on their path to the top of the world through the applied research of our Leipzig scientists.

Research Assistant (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:


As part of our public relations team, you will support us in communicating the findings of our scientists to various target groups.


Specifically, you will work on:

  • Implementing media work and managing our social media channels
  • Organizing events
  • Developing and implementing formats for science communication
  • Evaluating media work through analysis and data evaluation

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, Journalism, Sports Science, or a related field
  • Interest in German elite sports and science communication
  • Experience in writing journalistic texts and strong German language skills
  • Independent work style, creative, open, and communicative nature
  • Coordination and teamwork skills
