Summary:


The Product Movement Analyst position supports the Crude Product Movement team, actively focusing on reporting, analysis, scheduling support, presentations, and projects.

The position requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills. A strong understanding of PowerPoint and Excel is required.

This position will be responsible for providing scheduling support as well as consolidating and analyzing shipper data, market data, performance metrics, etc.

to inform the business and support effective decision making on operations and strategy.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Gather and maintain data associated with shipper nominations and movements to accurately monitor and report on performance metrics.
  • Compute and track performance metrics of connecting carriers to assess performance.
  • Acquire and maintain external and internal information to develop market intelligence and insight into regional supply/demand issues and knowledge of market fundamentals.
  • Assist group with scheduling support and provide backup for schedulers.
  • Provide problem solving analytical support for complex issues.
  • Assist customers, accounting, and the product administration groups in resolving invoicing and any other issues that may arise.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
Relevant Experience Level: 2-5 years

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal skills in order to write reports and develop visual models for management

Working Conditions:


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.- Usually, normal office working conditions.


  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
