Heritage Hills, NY based company Bumble is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and tech-savvy freelance translator.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for localizing Bumble's content into German and providing cultural insights to ensure a natural and authentic experience for German-speaking users.


As a member of our Localisation team, you will play a crucial role in globalizing Bumble and Badoo by adapting linguistically and culturally relevant messages and concepts to resonate with our international users.

Our goal is to spread the word of Bumble and Badoo worldwide, creating a sense of cultural connection for our global users.

This position is remote and requires timely delivery of translations within agreed upon deadlines.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance on regional requirements and cultural differences to enhance the impact of our products in the local market
  • Transcreating marketing and SEO/ASO copy

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in German and a strong command of English
  • Based in Germany is a plus
  • Degree in Copywriting, Translation, Journalism, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of local social media trends, the dating industry, and target audience
  • Highly engaged in internet and mobile usage
