The Chair of Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage System Technology and the Institute for Power Generation and Storage Systems are among the largest academic research institutions for battery storage in Germany, with over 80 employees.
We address all issues related to the planning and operation of battery storage, electric vehicles, and charging infrastructure.
These include system design, development of operating strategies, economic feasibility studies, and policy advice on all current topics related to batteries.
We operate our own fleet of electric vehicles, support the power grid with a large battery storage system, plan the decarbonization of industrial plants, and advise government ministries on strategic decisions that affect our society.
