Your Responsibilities

  • Independent teaching and research in the field of Visual Computing
  • Development and implementation of practical courses in the Bachelor's and Master's programs of the department, including topics such as Computer Graphics, Visualization, Game Engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction
  • Active participation in the development of study programs and continuing education offerings
  • Strong commitment to research and securing external funding
  • Teamoriented participation in academic selfgovernance at the department and university level

Your Profile

  • Completed technical university degree, preferably in Computer Science
  • PhD, preferably in the field of Visual Computing
  • Indepth knowledge and practical experience in Visual Computing, such as Computer Graphics, Visualization, Game Engineering, and/or Human-Computer Interaction
  • Experience in academic and applied research and development projects related to the advertised professorship
  • Project management experience is desirable
  • Strong pedagogical skills and ideally teaching experience, including digital teaching methods at the university level
  • Excellent social skills in working with students and colleagues
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • Fulfillment of the requirements of § 36 of the North Rhine-Westphalia Higher Education Act
