InterCare is searching for a
part-time business Intelligence Assistant to join our team at our Bangor Admin location At InterCare, you'll find a rewarding and challenging work environment and a competitive compensation
starting at $20.

53/hour and benefits package which includes:

Work Schedule:

20-hours/week with day/hours that vary -
NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possesses a basic understanding of information systems and programming typically acquired through an associate's degree program preferably with 12 years of practical experience in an ambulatory environment.

_ Primary Accountability_
Responsible for maintenance, data design, and presentation of EHR database and reporting systems.


_ Description of Primary Duties & Responsibilities_

  • Database support and EHR report assistant.
  • Modifies and provides support for custom reports in SQL reporting services.
  • Modifies and provides support for custom stored procedures.
  • Modifies and provides support for custom SQL jobs to automate EHR processes.
  • Supports data dashboards and data warehouse for reporting needs.
  • Data design reporting for quality improvement programs (QI, population health, UDS, PCMH).
  • Creates and maintains catalog of active reports.
  • Maintaining Report Documentation
  • Keeps report store organized.
  • Assists endusers with creating report specifications and using canned and custom reports.
  • Assists Lead Business Intelligence Analyst and MIS Clinical Informatics Analyst.
  • Involved in data validation with in EHR system.
  • Prior to software upgrades or hotfixes, assists in the testing of EHR reporting and interface systems.
  • Assists in the testing of EHR reporting systems during postupgrade.
  • Assists with files for data transfer with external entities.
  • Develops and deploys surveys (patient, outreach, staff, etc) using MS Forms or like software.
  • Develops and deploys data file transfer with various pharmacy and pharmacy benefit manager vendors.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve data development issues.

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL reporting services and queries.
  • Familiar with electronic health records systems.
  • Familiar with SQL administration
  • Skills with business intelligence tools such as Crystal Reports (Business Objects) and Cognos.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear effective manner both verbally and in writing to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences
  • Effectively communicates and works collaboratively with the MIS team and across departments.

Physical Demands


Job duties are performed in the typical office environment of the organization, which requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations.

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:


  • Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material.
  • Regularly required to talk and communicate.
