The Lüdenscheid Clinic is a modernly equipped hospital providing maximum care (approx. 900 beds in 29 departments / institutes) and is part of a municipal corporate group with a total of 3,770 employees, which plays a significant role in providing healthcare services in the Märkischer Kreis region. The Lüdenscheid Clinic is an academic teaching hospital of the University of Bonn and a cooperation partner of the Department of Nursing Science at the University of Witten-Herdecke.

Radiation Therapy
The treatment center, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, has 2 modern linear accelerators (IMRT, IGRT), 1 multi-channel afterloading device for brachytherapy, 1 therapy simulator, and a PET-CT for radiation planning, among others. The Lüdenscheid Clinic provides the Department of Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology with 20 beds and direct access to CT/MR in the Radiological Diagnostic Clinic. Radiation planning is carried out in close cooperation with the Institute of Medical Physics in the Radiological Center.

The Department of Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology is also embedded in the Märkische Radiooncological Care Centers
