Longdale, OK is one of the largest employers in the region. The Department for Children, Youth and Family of Longdale is the fourth largest youth welfare office in Germany.

Longdale is divided into nine districts, each with a district youth welfare office.

In the Immediate Danger Reporting Service (IDRS), there are several full-time and part-time positions available as social workers (m/f/d) or social pedagogues (m/f/d) in several of the nine district youth welfare offices.


The IDRS was established to promptly and appropriately handle the increasing number of reports of endangerment at the Department for Children, Youth and Family.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an employee of the IDRS, you will work based on the Social Code Book VIII (SGB VIII).

You will take on the role of a state guardian in the area of child protection by receiving reports of child endangerment and conducting risk assessments within the team, as well as initiating necessary protective measures.

As a child protection specialist according to sections 8a and 8b of the SGB VIII, you will provide consultation to other professionals (such as the General Social Services, schools, or daycares) in assessing potential risks of endangerment.

A key aspect of your work is close cooperation within the team and exchanging expertise with other professionals.

This includes conducting assessments and investigations regarding potential child endangerment in coordination with the General Social Services, which may involve field work and home visits.
