JOB SUMMARY


This position is responsible for driving the strategic growth and tactical execution of Glanbia's Film and Glitter portfolio through product management across all categories.

The PSM will lead and liaise with cross-functional teams internally and externally to effectively manage and deliver on initiatives and strategies and will serve as a key link between technology partners, customers, and all relevant Glanbia functions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities:

Manage the product portfolio in support of established business goals.
Develop and implement product strategies

  • Volume, pricing and margin decisions (P&L responsibility)
Product and customer mix
Inventory management and logistics to support financial goals

Responsible for the pipeline of Film and Glitter products - from overall strategy to execution of specific New Product Development (NPD) projects.

Collaborates with the Insights team and other sources to build deep market knowledge of the business from a customer, consumer, and competitive standpoint in order to fully define the new target markets and opportunities.

Works with other departments to facilitate delivery of innovation, customer collaboration and operational improvement projects.

Maintains relationships with key customers and participates in joint customer calls with sales as the product expert, with a focus on building demand for innovation related products with our customers.

Be a member and leader of cross functional teams where necessary.
Act as liaison for internal customers (sales, finance, customer service, and purchasing, marketing, operations) for day-to-day product related strategies.
Provide sales trainings and sales support where needed.
Vet new global market opportunities (technologies, expansions, partnerships, etc.) identified by the core team and provide recommendations.
Develop go-to-market strategies for the portfolio and work with Marketing to execute globally.
Maintain value based pricing for portfolio by understanding key market insights and competitive set, in addition to working closely to with Glanbia Finance to understand true costs and margins
Direct key inventory decisions for stock levels and work closely with logistics team to maintain at a global level
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training:

A Bachelor's degree in a scientific background (Food Science, Nutrition Science, etc.) preferred, or equivalent work experience.


Experience Required:

3-5 yrs. related experience within the food and/or ingredients space


Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:


Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with co-workers, top management, internal and external customers including excellent writing and presentation skills.

Effective collaborator able to work in project teams and across changing structures within a high-growth business.
Effective organizational skills in scoping projects tracking projects, etc.
Ability to be resourceful in locating information needed to complete projects.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and possess team-based problem solving skills.
Must be oriented toward accomplishment of team goals and results focused
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to persuade internally and externally.

Must be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, with good problem solving skills and comfortable with assessing market/business opportunities understanding statistics.

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.


Language, Computer & Numeracy:

Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
