Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, communicate changes to the healthcare team
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems like Epic and Athenahealth
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Participate in sterile processing procedures when necessary

Skills:


  • Demonstrated experience in case management and patient care coordination
  • Proficiency in medical coding practices
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures is a plus
  • Familiarity with Athenahealth and Epic electronic health record systems
  • Experience in hospital or nursing home settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while maintaining highquality patient care
