Job Description

The Sr Staff Technical Writer will be responsible for

Ensuring and improving the consistency and quality of technical documentation and quality documents
Implement and promote the technical writing standards and technical documentation creation process
Own documentation development including datasheets, errata, application notes, hardware and software user manuals
Write the material clearly and concisely, making sure it can be easily understood
Editing, proofreading and indexing
Contribute to the development of a user friendly documentation creation environment including templates and 'documentation IP' re-use
Standardization and library management of electrical parameters
Help to define and maintain the technical documentation guidelines
Meet colleagues from multiple disciplines to discuss technology and authoring requirements
Take feedback from users and act accordingly

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Technical Communication is preferred.
English degree with more than three years' experience in the technical writing field is acceptable.

Additional Information

Required skills:

Technical communication in English
Moderate-advanced use of Microsoft Word
Some knowledge of microcontroller, software, and IoT terms and technology
Familiarity with SharePoint and JIRA
Basic knowledge of Acrobat Pro, Visio, DITA writing, and DITA-OT processing
Basic knowledge of CMSIS-SVD
Must have experience in Technical Publishing software tools like DITA XML, Oxygen Editor, and Madcap IXIA CCMS etc.
(Good to have a basic understanding of the Japanese language

At least 3 years of technical writing or technical editing. Experience creating small and large documents with MS Word, Markdown, DITA/XML, and PDF.
