The Garden & Gift Emporium is the fresh, new kid in town, offering inspired and thoughtfully curated Gifts, Housewares, Home & Garden Dcor in Marin County.

We are looking for a personable and results-driven Gift & Garden Department Manager for our San Rafael location. This person will have a passion for home dcor, gifts, indoor plants, cooking and gardening.

Position Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Team Leader position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate

sales, merchandise product, mentor and train staff, coordinate daily work flow, cash balancing, uphold store polices and safety procedures, and support the store management team in daily operations.

Major Responsibilities


The major responsibilities for this position include:
Provide amazing customer service
Mentor and train team members
Coordinate daily workflow
Support management in a variety of tasks
Help resolve guest and Team Member issues
Uphold store policies and safety procedures

Physical Requirements


The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all
functions as set forth.


Minimum Requirements:

The minimum requirements for this position include**:
Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills
Must be self-motivated and quality driven
Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Effectively communicate with Guests, Team Members and Management.

Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledge of retail computer systems, electronic cash registers, MS Word and Excel a plus.
Previous experience in a retail environment either in marketing, sales, cashier or back office.
