Generalist training as a nursing specialist - a future-oriented profession in nursing.

Since 2020, the new profession of nursing specialist has combined the three previous nursing professions of "geriatric care", "health and nursing care" and "pediatric nursing".


In this new, generalist training, you will learn how to care for people of all ages in all areas of care.

Through your training at maxQ., you will gain a comprehensive understanding of nursing, which will allow you to quickly familiarize yourself with the different specialties and their specific requirements.

This opens up numerous opportunities for deployment and development in your professional life, such as acute care, inpatient or outpatient long-term care, general, geriatric, pediatric, or youth psychiatric care.

The structure and content of the training at maxQ: All trainees will receive a two-year, joint, generalist-oriented theoretical training. The practical part of your training will take place in inpatient nursing facilities, hospitals, and outpatient care services. You will sign your training contract and receive your training allowance from one of these institutions.


Qualifications of the generalist nursing training: * Trainees who wish to continue their generalist training in the third year will obtain the professional qualification of a nursing specialist.

* Trainees who focus on caring for elderly people will obtain a separate qualification in geriatric care.
