The district of Mettmann is currently seeking a

pedagogical specialist (m/f/d)
for the Kinder- und Familienzentrum Kirchendeller Weg in Mettmann, starting as soon as possible.

The position is classified according to qualifications in pay group S9 TVöD-SuE (special education teachers) or S8b TVöD-SuE (educators or special needs educators).

The weekly working hours are 39 hours.

The position is initially limited until March 6, 2024 due to the maternity leave of the current incumbent.

Your responsibilities:

The Kinder- und Familienzentrum Kirchendeller Weg, with a focus on inclusion, provides care for a total of 116 children in seven groups.

Two of these groups provide care for 16 children with special needs (special education groups). The district is the sponsor of these two special education groups. Five groups are run by the city of Mettmann.

The education, care, and support of children with different levels of development takes place in a partially open group structure.

The facility employs 23 pedagogical specialists, one speech therapist, one motor therapist, various interns and volunteers, and four housekeeping staff.

The facility is a certified family center, which in addition to the tasks already mentioned, also offers special programs for
