Security Event Coordinator and Security Management Experience Required

: Pay: $33.65 / Hr**
This is a Salaried position for 70k per year

Schedule:
Dependant on site needs. Those that have open availability are highly desired.

Key duties include but not limited to:

  • The event coordinator will be handling all the events for the Tysons location.
  • The coordinator will have similar duties as the LOB (Line of Business) staff. They have biweekly meetings they have to attend and get information about upcoming events.
  • About 100+ events can happen per month and they can run up to 300 hours.
  • They will coordinate what type of security( whether armed or unarmed) will be used for the event and manage their scheduling and training.
  • Plus they will coordinate the appropriate staffing and coverage if there will be alcohol involved.
  • The coordinator will be doing walkthroughs with the client to make sure that all evacuation exits are considered and identify potential threats.
  • Finding security coverage, billing, and getting thirdparty coverage as well.
  • The coordinator reports to the assistant account manager and account manager.

General qualifications include:
- **Security management experience of 2 years highly preferred. This will include training security officers and ensuring they are in compliance with licensing and training.**:

  • Security Event Coordinator experience highly preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of learning, or equivalent experience.
  • Superior writing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Quickthinking and response time during crisis events.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a high pressure and time sensitive environment.
  • Superior research skills and familiar with performing open source research.
  • Strong familiarity with social media networking tools.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and prioritizing accordingly.
  • You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.
