RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess existing processes for areas of improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues that are resulting in process inefficiencies and/or products quality issues.
  • Utilize improvement methodologies, i.e., Six Sigma
  • Develop, communicate, and mange projects to improve process or reduce product deficiencies
  • Monitor process improvements for effectivity and evaluate opportunities for additional improvements.
  • Develop and present training programs to educate personnel on process improvements
  • Track and communicate process improvement initiatives and the output of these initiatives
  • Solve practical problems
  • Develop and assist with conducting process audits
  • Travel to facilities to identify technical issues with design, process, or equipment

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge: Possesses handson knowledge in data analytics, Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, 5 why analysis, impact vs. effort, other root cause analysis methods, systemic thinking, A3, 5S and pull systems.
  • Project management skills: ability to track and drive towards project milestones and completion.
  • Communication skills to effectively lead multidisciplinary projects
  • Familiar with industrial processes, preferably manufacturing equipment
  • Adequate verbal, written and analytical skills with a professional and helpful demeanor.
  • Computer literacy using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
