Your training:


In our two-year training program, we prepare you for the exciting and diverse role of social assistance with a focus on special education.

After your training, you will support people with disabilities in living their daily lives as independently and self-determined as possible.

2 years of training at our vocational school with integrated practical training
3 days of classes per week at the vocational college
15 hours per week of practical training in integration assistance/disability support


What you bring:
At least a secondary school diploma (9th grade) and an interest in working with people

Training content:
Pedagogical and nursing knowledge and skills
Involvement of people with disabilities
Consultation on household management
Contact with family members


Completion:
State-certified social assistant (optional: with the possibility to obtain a Fachoberschulreife or Mittlere Reife with a qualification for attending the upper level of high school)


After successfully completing the two-year training, you have the opportunity to pursue a specialized training in special education or become an educator.

You can also start working as a social assistant in residential groups or in outpatient services. There are also opportunities for employment in workshops for people with disabilities (WfbM) or in the education sector.
