The Department of Church History II in the Faculty of Theology at WWU is seeking to fill the position of:


Research Associate (E 13 TV-L)
in the third-party funded project "Library of Neology. Annotated Critical Selection Edition in Ten Volumes" starting on April 1, 2023.

The position is part-time (50%) and will be limited to a period of 3 years (corresponding to the project duration).


The project aims to publish ten major works of the most significant Enlightenment theologians in a critical and annotated edition, accompanied by a detailed introduction, in a hybrid format (digital and print).


Your responsibilities:


  • Collaboration in the hybrid edition project
  • Deciphering abbreviations in 18th century Latin texts
  • Creation of source commentaries on theological works from the 18th century
  • Editorial supervision of an anthology
  • Digital creation of person and subject indexes
