Duties Description

Operate and maintain large or heavy cleaning equipment;
Perform a variety of floor care tasks, including stripping, waxing, burnishing, etc. promoting floor resiliency and safety;
Perform a variety of cleaning and care tasks in an assigned area, including mopping, washing, dusting, polishing, cleaning, and setting up furniture and equipment;
Delegate supply restock throughout the facility;
Coordinate with Public Buildings Manager 1 and supervising Janitor to address identified facility deficiencies and order supplies;
Supervise Cleaners, and plan and schedule staff assignments and cleaning projects. Prepare and assist in managing employee probationary and performance evaluations.
Complete training and certifications, and assist subordinate staff with achieving the same training and certifications; and
Daily interaction with NYSED's computerized work order management system, outlook, and the Leave and Accrual Tracking System (LATS).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position leads to a maximum salary of $45,864 based on annual performance advances.
