Research Assistant (m/f/d)

(Salary group 13 TV-L, 50)

Starting date:
As soon as possible


Duration: 3 years

Area of focus:
Quantitative Methods of Empirical Social Research and Social Structure Analysis


Your responsibilities:

  • Participation in teaching, particularly in the methods training for social science bachelor's and master's programs
  • Participation in research with the goal of obtaining a doctorate
  • Supervision of seminar papers, exams, and final theses
  • Maintenance of datasets for research and teaching
  • Participation in university selfadministration

Requirements:

  • Excellent or good degree in a social sciencerelated field
  • Excellent knowledge of quantitative methods of empirical social research

Ideally, you also have:

  • A focus on quantitative research on inequality
  • Practical research experience, particularly in preparing and analyzing complex survey data using advanced methods
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant statistical programs (especially Stata)
  • Teaching experience
