- Work collaboratively with engineering and product management to support engineering and product goals, initiatives and directives
- With a solid understanding of data systems, data analytics and BI, create and execute detailed project plans that deliver technical projects on time
- Use Jira and Confluence to manage multiple, simultaneous technical data projects
- Lead scrum ceremonies with a flexible approach
- Lead intra-team and cross-team meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, noting action items and conducting follow-ups
- Manage communications with all the stakeholders to keep them informed around status, timelines, and obstacles throughout the project lifecycle
- Gather qualitative and quantitative data on the engineering team's capacity, and manage the velocity to achieve the highest level of competency as a team
- Implement continuous improvements to our project management processes
- Demonstrated experience as technically focused project manager in data systems, BI and/or analytics
- Understanding of data terminology and processes, such as AWS, databases, APIs, orchestration and CI/CD
- Ability to read SQL and technical documentation
- Ability to tailor project management approaches to a variety of team structures and working cadences
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Project management formal certifications (PMP, CSM etc)

Description
System1 is looking for a Project Manager to join our Data Platform team. This team is the horizontal layer that supports business intelligence, optimization, machine learning, and external & internal reporting. We process and report on hundreds of millions of events and user attributes per day, gathered from an extremely heterogeneous and large set of data streams.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing technical projects. They will own the cross-department communication with all stakeholders including the engineering teams, operations teams and business development teams. On a day-to-day basis the Project Manager will be hands-on with the product & engineering teams, ensuring that we are on the right track to achieve the established milestones.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $144,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
System1's headquarters is located in Marina del Rey, CA with additional offices in Bellevue, WA and Guelph, ON, Canada. Employees near office locations are returning to the office. Location-specific policies and available accommodations will be discussed during the interview process.
