Description

To support our central competence center for land monitoring, we are looking for a (specialized) computer scientist (m/f/d) for database administration at our location in Landshut / Kitzingen / Bamberg / Marktredwitz / Münchberg as soon as possible.

Your area of responsibility
On behalf of the federal government and the states, Bavaria has established a central competence center for land monitoring. The FüAk is responsible for supporting the federal states in the implementation and operation of a satellite-based land monitoring system in the field of agricultural subsidies. As part of the common agricultural policy, EU member states are obliged to establish and operate a land monitoring system in accordance with Article 70 of EU Regulation 2021/2116. The central objective is to make use of satellite data using artificial intelligence for the automated observation of agricultural land to control compliance with subsidy criteria.

Your tasks

Development, operation and administration of relational databases (PostgreSQL) in cooperation with the IT-DLZ
Installation and operation of open source solutions (mainly in Python) as well as adaptation of scripts
Establishment, administration and maintenance of specific IT infrastructure
Participation in consulting and support of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the federal states in the IT sector in the development, planning, implementation and testing of new technologies
