You're More Than Your Job Title

Had some errands to run this morning. The sun was trying to decide if it wanted to come out or not. With the water shortage we’ve had in California it’s good to see rain clouds! It felt like it was cold enough to snow a couple days ago. They say rain in the valley means snow on the mountain. I hope we start getting lots of both.

I was at the cafeteria yesterday. The lady at the cash register saw the Charlie Brown and Snoopy stickers my Cousin Lorena’s daughter, Sierra put on my wallet. She said she hoped I had fun spending Christmas with my daughter.

When I told her my daughter was grown and asked if she knew her, the lady pointed to my wallet. I told her my seven-year-old cousin put them there. If she sees my wallet without them she thinks I don’t care about her. She also put stickers on the back of my phone I lost. When my Cousin Ralph’s son, Damian saw them he gave me a Buzz Light-year sticker for my coffee cup at home. He’s six years old.

Kids Are Great!! Since I’m on a low budget for Christmas they’ll probably get some candy from me. It will be fun to watch them run around and go nuts!

I got a newsletter from the guys offering the online course I’m working on to improve my writing. I think one of their websites is Copyblogger. It was about writing everyday whether you post it in your blog or not. That’s what I’ve been trying to do.

There might not be a lot of advice in my blog about business, or politics, or how to be more productive on the job. I’m sure there are bloggers who have articles like that posted, but that’s not what my blog is about.

I blog to remind people that they are more than their job titles and things they do outside of work is just as important as how much production they do or don’t have on the job site.
