What is the #1 Business Book?
#1 Business Book?">
I was reading a blog recommending books to add to my library. At the end of this article it asked, âWhat book taught you the Biggest lesson in business?â  Onside books in the Bible, the first story that came into my head was âThe Little Engine that Could.â This is a story I read to my children and read many times, myself, as a child.
The Little Engine That Could is an illustrated childrenâs book that was first published in the United States in 1930 by Platt & Munk and written by Watty Piper. The story is used to teach children the value of optimism and hard work.
Most people reading this article would probably have expected I have choose a title written by Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, John Maxwell, or even something grand like the Bible. Yet, the reason I choose this childâs book was first I recently finished reading it to my children before bedtime and itâs still in my head, and second itâs lesson is more Simple, yet Powerful than all the others.
If you donât master the wisdom of âI Think I Canâ from the little Engine then everything else you learn is futile. All the knowledge from the other authors and audios is like the toys that will never get over the mountain. I realize that this is just a childâs book but the message inside is ageless and priceless.
Henry Ford once quoted, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right." Â These other trains in this story were never going to be able to make this journey no matter their strength. This is because they already believed they couldn't.
This story is almost one hundred years old, yet it brings to life in a most simplistic way the single most important lesson to be learned by anyone that wants or needs to be successful.
If you have made a decision to change your life, master your future and experience your life to the fullest then start with knowing the message from this book. Â If you have not read it, go read it. It will only take a few minutes. If not for yourself, then read it to a child, yet learn from the story.
I have found from personal experience, a while back, that if you bring to much information into your circle before you believe in yourself, it will overwhelm you and drag you back down. That is why you share and Teach what you learn with others. Luckily, I had a great mentor to say, âYes you can,â before I was ready to say, âI Know I Can.â
I would love to hear your choice. What is your Favorite book that applies to Business Success?
