Welcome to Spring in Kentucky
I love Spring! After a long, gray winter, the ground comes alive with daffodils of purple and gold.
The grass returns to deep green, the under layer of trees and shrubs begin to sprout; the forsythia in yellow.
Although many birds winter here, spring brings more and the songbirds fill the air with cheer.
A tufted titmouse snacks at our feeder. Meanwhile, a downy woodpecker hops around the back yard.
Overhead the ornamental fruit trees, pears and cherries, are the first to bloom displaying their lovely, white blossoms.
