The Unofficial Guide to beBee Jargon for Beginners or Busy Bees
Hey all you buzz heads out there; this is Bo Buzzbee with your, unofficial and totally unsanctioned, Guide to beBee Jargon for beginners. It’s about time someone came up with a list like this and who better than a total smart-spiracle like me eh?
Fasten your seatbelts. Pay attention and keep the buzz down to a low drone please.
Honey: What we bees live to produce.
Hive: A place where you hang out with your buddies, share stories and drink mead when nobody’s looking.
Worker Bee: What most of us are, deny vehemently when anyone important asks and what most of us strive not to be. It’s a love / hate sorta relationship thing really.
Busy Bee: Either a really hard working bee or one that makes other bee’s business their business.
Buzz: Idle chatter that passes for meaningful production. Sort of like white noise in the universe, only yellow in tinge. It’s always around by the buckets full and a few bees actually notice at times!
Drone: A bee that just goes on and on about something no one seems to care about but themselves.
Buzz Joy: A bee who is so enamored with another bee’s work that they tell all the other bees in their hive and even others, about it.
Buzz Kill: A bee who sticks their stinger into someone else’s honey, where it don’t belong, and takes the wind right out from under another bee’s wings.
Royal Jelly: The really good work that all bees, but especially new ones, marvel at. It’s rumored this stuff can actually make you live longer if you absorb enough of it.
Drowning in Honey: A bee so forthcoming with Royal Jelly that they make the rest of their hive look like a bunch of novice little zip heads.
Buzz Head: You
Smart Spiracle: A smart ass.
Get your spiracle in gear: See above
Zorrobee: A bee who tries to hide their real identity and throws their stinger around with total abandon in regards to whom they may whack with it. Kinda like yours truly.
Stinger: That thing that introduces pain and suffering among other bees when it’s stuck were it shouldn’t bee ** Okay, okay Bo Buzzbee flies corrected. It's now official, according to Señor Juan Bee, that this is actually the distributor of "Righteous Venom", and not the bad boy I've always thought it to bee. Of course that definitely explains why I've been getting those nice smiles when I've been whipping it about like I do. Who knew? **
Righteous Venom: See above
Antenna: Those things that stick out of your noggin and that you need to keep tuned and out of other bee’s business
Venom Sack: What all we bees distribute our Righteous Venom from when we want to praise another bee's production.
Waxing: Putting another member of a hive in their place
Getting Waxed: Being so put in your place by another bee that your wings literally stick together
Bee Dazzled: A bee in the presence of their new significant other
Bee Witched: A bee in the presence of their ex-significant other
Bee Dancin’: A flighty bee that enjoys showing off to the rest of their hive
Flighty Buzzer: A bee that’s hard to pin down, doesn’t necessarily know where it’s headed and keeps all the other bees in the hive guessing
Winging it: A flighty buzzer that procrastinates and makes things up as they flit here and there producing little drops of honey that may or may not end up where it will do most good.
Queen Bee: This one’s debatable. I’ve heard rumors that she exists. Some bees say that she’s just a figment of some wishful thinking ancient bees and a way to explain our existence. Others actually claim to have talked to her. Your guess is as good as the next bee’s as far as I’m concerned.
Pollinate: Something we beBees do to try and encourage less fortunate socially active creatures, who don’t live in wonderful and welcoming hives like we do, understand that they should visit us and try some of our honey for a change.
Cross Pollinator: A really focused and sometimes overzealous pollinator who comes on sort of strong when navigating in less fortunate social circles.
Getting Your Stinger Bent Outta Shape: So upset you can’t point yourself in the right direction
Honey Pot: Ewwww!
Catchin’ Some Zees: Riding the updrafts in the environment of beBee honey production
Granulated Honey: The really great stuff that has crystallized into sharp edged little truths. It’s sweet in the mouth but hard to swallow sometimes.
Jackin' Honey: Plagiarizing another bee’s hard work
Bloom Head: A bee that doesn’t create a single buzz, won’t produce honey, never pollinates and flies around aimlessly wishing everything were different for them.
So there you have it; the totally unofficial guide to beBee jargon. Feel free to use it, share it or maybe laugh a little. But please remember where you saw it and please don’t be Jackin’ no honey of mine!
Now go make some honey!
Bo
Aka,
(You are welcome to re-post this buzz if it remains as is in its entirety)

The more I think of it, "sting" being used in this positive way is actually a brilliant concept and could well become part of the global vernacular as I am sure will the word buzz become as beBee goes mainstream. It has the potential to be more popular than the brilliant word "Tweet" and is certainly way better than that horrible word "Poke". Whoever in the beBee team thought about this usage of the word sting is possibly genius!

Dear Dean Owen , I guess with "sick" now meaning "really cool", I can get down with the word "sting" meaning "hitting the mark in a really good way". Then again "Sting" is also the name for a cool singer, so I will get with it in this sting thing, even if I am still old school about what it means personally to me to being stung https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FKr2Qq6BDM
