The Simplest Path To Maximizing Your Unfair Advantage

The Simplest Path To Maximizing Your Unfair Advantage

The truly ambitious always hunger to develop and brand their sure thing that set them apart from our competitors and rivals.

By recognizing and even branding our sure thing, you and I can rise above the noise. By doing so, we position ourselves as the obvious choice in a tumultuous sea of “me too” brands.

The Unfair Advantage - Defined

An unfair advantage is that skill which you possess which is highly unique and is regarded as extremely valuable. In short, how does having you on their side give our clients an easier, rapid path to success and riches?

First, accept and own the idea that having and marketing your unfair advantage is absolutely necessary to win in today’s highly-competitive market place. Your unfair advantage is no longer a luxury, but a necessary strategy to win more customers and earn more revenue.

Secondly, ask those who you respect what they believe this to be in you. Propose some of your own ideas to them and listen to what they see in you as your Superpower.

Your third step is to articulate this Superpower in eight words or less. For Grant Cardone it’s “10X.”

Mine? Proven systems which deliver actionable sales leads. Is it as sexy as 10X? Not even close. But I can tell you that this skill allows me to distance myself as a distinct value over many marketing professionals, most of who are ambiguous and indefinite in what they can offer as a result.

Once you dial-in on the skill that sets you apart, begin to leverage it to your own advantage. Make sure you’re demonstrating your ability in this area when you’re making a pitch or selling your idea or brand. Showcase this within your content, emails, public presentations, case studies, and positive customer reviews.

Perception Is Reality

We live in a world of optics. What and how we present to others can become their reality. The power of publicity and PR, as well as well-executed content marketing, will help you to shape how others see and appreciate you. Moreover, publicity and content can clearly detail your Superpower and how they can access this for their own unfair advantage.

With that said, we also live in a world of transparency. So your messaging and Superpower needs to be clear, honest, and respectful that your audience has choices and a keen ability to sniff out BS. When you can present and articulate your Superpower with integrity, you have a homerun.

Develop Yours Immediately

Your unfair advantage will help you to build trust and credibility with supervisors, co-workers, clients, and prospective clients. Honing-in on this will also increase your own confidence; and when people are confident, they become infinitely more competent and prosperous.
