The age of hype spin and drama

The age of hype spin and drama

503ee020.jpg

When we cut the hype, the spin and the drama what do we hear people saying? When we remove all the noise from the words and speeches what is the actual message being directed to those who are listening? I believe the answer is “We are scared”. According to the mental health individuals I have spoken to the suicide rate has jumped significantly, I have heard numbers of up to 800%. Fear appears to be the problem and the true issue. But why?

Why are things so much more scary today over last year at this time? The only change has been we stopped celebrating. There is actually no other difference. We locked ourselves away and stopped doing those things which tell us that life is worth living. We stopped having parties and meals together. We stopped celebrating the success of seniors and others who have accomplished goals. We stopped having fun. We started focusing on fear.

When we drop the spin, the drama and the hype what we hear people say is they are scared. So instead of addressing the hype we should address the problem. Is it that people are scared of dying? Are they so scared of dying that they kill themselves? Probably not. People are scared of living lives with no hope, no future, no answers. So they scream. They no longer dream. They have begun to believe the spin saying there are no more dreams.

When the sun breaks the horizon and a new day begins hope should accompany it. A nice phrase a ready thought but is it true? Is hope that renewable? The old phrase “if your not dead there is hope” might not feel all that applicable or in the least bit true. Why strive if there is no future? But there in is the point, the new dawn is just that a promise of a future at least one more day to try. Each day we have, each morning we reach is new day to try, to strive, to dream.

When the problem is fear of a life with no hope or answers take each day and reach. Don't fixate on the problem but instead reach for your answer your solution. Celebrate and seek reasons to celebrate. Tomorrow is a new day. A day you can use. A day not of fear but instead of opportunity. So instead of screaming lets begin dreaming, together we can build a future.

Blessings

Perhaps, we, humans are forgetful of the Almighty Lord, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and fear Him no more, and for this reason, in the worldly matters, we are stuck in phobias.

Your comment reminded me of this advice. "My advice is keep your lips away from spinning things" Adam Savage. You can put your own spin on its meaning. I can think of several. A bit like spinning plates and see which falls last.

Spin doctors love rising the temp leading many unequipped individuals with a bleak lack of choice.....

Ken you have clearly stated the best rout to take. But I find that many people find it very difficult to see these problems as anything other than things to ruin their day. An inability to recognize the opportunity to improve themselves appears to only bring anger and fear. And pointing this out to them does not always bring about a positive result. Regardless of the truth.

We encounter problems daily, Greg. But without such speed bumps or roadblocks we’d continue doing the same things over and over ad nauseum. If we first accept that problems are positive things instead of annoyingly obstructive or even destructive, and that we’ll always encounter them, then we can start to benefit from them. Given the right attitude, we can address each problem as a chance to improve what we are doing and hence either avoid similar problems by changing our path, or else arm ourselves with appropriate controls to reduce the future effects of similar problems. Eventually, with a little practice, we can change our mindset so that we no longer encounter problems but only opportunities. We need to get out of our comfort zones and invoke change to improve. Problems are merely the catalyst for change.
