Some thoughts on Leadership
A possible truism: There is no secret sauce. Unless of course you subscribe to the sage wisdom of Mr. Ping’s life lesson to Po in Kung Fu Panda.
· Be true to your convictions, be true to integrity, be true to passion and then respect the same from those around you: despite the differences.
· Utilize and maximize your strengths, minimize your weakness, understand the difference and then leverage and maximize the good in yourself and those around you.
· Inculcate service in all you do and serve those around you because in the end, it is not about you. Ultimately, it will serve you well.
· Learn and gain from every experience, every relationship, every planned event and every chance encounter. Wake up in the morning and see the positive beauty around you, not the negative darkness.
· Develop excellence amidst a chaotic and imperfect world, don’t sweat the small stuff, and lay the foundation for the same in those around you.
& Find the good in the world and applaud it. Do the same for the good you see in and from those around you.
· Look to your left and right, up and down and be thankful that there are those around you making every day, every moment, every experience a lesson in humility, service, leadership and followership.
· Embrace yourself and cherish those around you and then enable a broader perspective; larger than just you and cultivate the same in those around you.
· Accept and enhance the uniqueness of yourself and those around you and make the world a better place.
· Desire the moon while expecting to only experience and achieve the world around you and the ground below you.
Then carefully (not blindly), thoughtfully (with purpose) and collaboratively (with understanding) lead, follow or get out of the way. Do what you do and all the rest will come into perspective.
