So you think Jesus is into mudslinging

So you think Jesus is into mudslinging

I have to confess that I am amazed at how many people believe that God cares about our political alliances. God cares about one alliance you have, His. If we have that one He will guide us in any other He desires us to have. But at any time we believe or hold that God places politics above actually reading and following your Bible we would be wrong.

In this current political climate we see hate and distrust spewed from every corner, how can we believe God is inspiring any of it? Hate is what leads to the current killing of Jews who were spending time in prayer. Distrust is what encourages us to ignore or suspect the responses of others.

Please understand I am not telling you to not get involved in politics or advising you regarding a vote, I am saying that if God is not first in your life don’t blame Him for the results of your actions. In the same way don’t associate a political party with Christianity, unless its first priority is to God. I do not believe any of them have claimed this, nor based on their campaigns do they desire to.

So please stop saying that Democrats are Christian or that Republicans are or even that independents are, they may be or they may not be. Christianity is a personal alliance between a person and God not a group and their desires.

Rant over have a very good day.

Blessings
