Silly Saturday -- License to Laugh!
That car above? It's real. And it represents a real police department in a real town, one on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA. Why is it named Sandwich? 聽It is named for the seaport of Sandwich, Kent, England -- I'm guessing back then the word sandwich had a totally different meaning.
But the car's picture spurred me to think about other ways cars make us laugh. License plates!
Since I am one of those who also has a license plate that I created, I am always amused at the ones I see on the highway or in parking lots. I love the creativity so often shown, and I hope you do, too!
If you have a picture of one, feel free to send it along to me. I'd love to showcase it in another Silly Saturday post.
So here are a few of the many thousands of the fun and clever license plates around the country. And be sure to look at the car company's name as well; sometimes that figures into the fun here.
The Legend of Zelda is apparently a video game -- who knew?
One I KNOW everyone will love!
Last but not least -- at least for me -- is the one on my car!
Which one is YOUR favorite today?

They don't get "razzed" too much, anymore. It's become "old hat." It's becoming a bedroom community for those working in Chicago and the northwest suburbs.

Aha, and does that police department also get "razzed" for the name? Thanks, Randy Keho!
