Renting A Room - Or Not

I had an appointment to see a room for rent here in Seattle last Friday. The week was busy for me so I didn't have time to check out the area. Friday was also a busy day for me so I decided to cancel.

I was free all morning and decided to check the place out. So I went to the link on the message in my phone from the property management company. When I got to the door a nice looking woman with a British accent answered. 

She was surprised to find out her house was listed on a website as having a rooms for rent.

I told her I'd look it up on my phone, but could tell she was upset and said I would just go.

She asked me for the website. I gave it to her and said sorry I scared her.

Then I called the people who set up my appointment and left a message about what happened. When I got to a computer I looked up the email they gave me. The address was different.

So then I checked the link on the message in my phone. The address on my phone is listed with the same property management company as for sale. It even has a picture of the house on the listing.

I wonder if the cute British woman knows someone is selling her house.

I made calls and sent text messages to the guys who set it all up explaining what happened. They have some bugs in their system that need to get sorted out

I'm just glad I do some ground work and check things out before I show up for meetings and appointments
