Random Thoughts About the Month

A week has gone by since I wrote anything. It seems like I lose more chess games with the guys at Westlake Park than I win. When I saw a guy playing a game and playing online and winning both games I realized these guys are hard core. People say I’m good at the game but with them I win one out of every five or ten games.

Now I don’t feel so bad. Chess is just a game to pass the time for me-but it’s what these guys do with all their spare time, it’s not just a hobby. Some of them talk about playing for money. I know I’m not that good.

I’ve been playing chess with some of the guys who play the chess masters this week, and loosing. I’m a below average player compared to those guys. One of them told me I could be really good if I keep at it for a year. I guess my game is improving.

The bill for my blog site is due. I should call siteblog and update my information. WordPress is nice but it’s a good idea to keep my own site active.

On the Fourth of July a friend on Facebook posted that children shouldn’t play with fireworks. They should let the adults who’ve been drinking all day set them off. I thought that was funny!

It’s been busier at the coffee shop in the mornings because of events at the Convention Center. I have an appointment with the lady who signed me up for the class at Work Source. She has information about a paid internship for me. It will be good to be working again.

It’s been a few days since I wrote anything to blog about. Since then I had a job interview. Hopefully I’ll be working again soon. Something part time would be nice.

There’s another news media circus about Trump again. He’s always got something to say on Twitter. I don’t get him. He’s got a billion dollar company and I don’t think he runs it by being stupid. It seems like he doesn’t think before he talks.

Maybe he just wants all eyes on him and doesn’t even care if he looks like a pussy and an idiot.

Company clture E:

Last week he backs down from the Russians after two years of trying to tell people in congress how to do their jobs and now there’s something about paying some woman who posed for Playboy Magazine to keep quiet about dating him

It turns out he waived his attorney/client privilege about her and it got all over the media. That’s a good thing to do if he wants all eyes on him. Maybe he does think before he talks after all!

The weather has been nice here in Seattle. It’s been in the 90’s. The women look pretty in their summer outfits. It takes some effort not to stare at them. I could get used to this whole global warming trend.

.

Had an interview last Friday. I don’t know if it went well or if the guy who got my resume and the lady who interviewed me were just being polite. It’s hard for me to tell. I don’t know much about company culture. On most of the jobs I’ve worked nobody cares what you do as long as the work gets done.

Hang in there Mark. that company culture thing is a way of being prejudiced only in nicer words. The problem is that it leads to have a homogenous work force that is about a creative as a worn out dish mop.
