No Safe Places?

Last week I saw a movie called No Safe Places Its about how others are getting offended by what others are saying and doing. The people who were speaking up were talking about their concerns about censorship. They were saying that some peoples actions are limiting and if they continue can get rid of some basic freedoms we take for granted here in the USA

I didn't know what to think about the movie. It explained the free speech movement started on college campuses and how things have turned so that you have to worry about offending someone with what you say now on the same college campuses.

It went on to say the ones who graduate from these colleges will eventually get jobs in the tech field in places like Facebook and Google and if they take the limit if it offends thinking to those places there could be a lot of online censorship in the near future and it could even be happening now.

If someone doesn't like what I 'm saying because of some disagreement I just stop talking and try to figure out if they have some information I can use. Even if I don't like what they say it might benefit me to find out how someone else thinks.

That might not work for everyone though. Some people just have to have people hear what they say especially if it's important to them. I've noticed that in the group thinking mentality.

Thinking in groups didn't make much sense to me until I started reading a book on classical physics and got to the part about how we measure time.

There are modern computer clock pulses and the idea of synchronizing watches and different time zones. One rule says if two watches are in sync with one zone they are out of sync with the zone they're in, or something like that.

I figure it can be the same with people. Just because I don't agree with someone or understand the way they think doesn't mean they don't have a reason for feeling the way they do. 

So what can you do if you're the one out of sync and don't want to clam up or play dumb? Well If you're an outsider to the club I guess you can always start you're own club or find the people you're in sync with. 

I thing those are better options than censoring someone because they offend you or getting violent because of a disagreement
